Aluminum shell motors are generally used for stable motors with high DC working speed and are installed in places that do not require much force because aluminum is soft. Compared to iron shells, aluminum shells are lighter in weight, have good thermal conductivity, can be die cast, have good plasticity, higher elongation than iron, higher price, and lower hardness. The reason why motors with high center height ratios do not have aluminum shells is due to the insufficient mechanical strength of aluminum. Cast iron motors are relatively powerful and are installed in places with high driving force and poor environmental conditions. Their stability is not as good as aluminum motors. There are several considerations for using aluminum shells for small motors, including:

1. Aluminum has a relatively low density, which can reduce the weight of the entire machine.

2.Aluminum has better thermal conductivity than iron, which is beneficial for motor heat dissipation.

3. Aluminum has low strength, is easy to process and manufacture, and saves processing costs
